About the Role
As a mentor you'll encourage and assist a Girl or Young Women to plan and take steps towards achieving her personal goals, helping her towards employment, training or education opportunities. The primary role of a mentor is to inspire and motivate their mentee in achieving their goals and her action plan.
Duration and Commitment
- All Mentors are required to commit for at least 12 months.
- On average you should meet with your mentee for a minimum of 4 hours per month.
- Each meeting or communication with your mentee must be recorded.
Training and Support
All mentors’ will receive full training before being confirmed as a BelEve UK Mentor and receive on-going support. You will also require an up to date DBS form before you are matched with a mentee.
Each mentor will be allocated a supervisor who will support them when necessary. You will meet with your supervisor every eight weeks.
